The demon mole rat or demon African mole rat (''Tachyoryctes daemon'') is a species of rodents in the Spalacidae family found in Kenya and Tanzania. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, moist savanna, subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland, and arable land. The demon mole rat is solitary.
